By Jennifer Gilhoo Harvard Business Review published a piece by Joan C. Williams on May 29th entitled “Why Men Work So Many Hours”. The article is insightful and, I believe, expresses a growing problem in America and in American companies.
We don’t speak candidly about failure enough as a society. Success is much more glamorous, we’re implicitly taught failure should be hidden. However, the real lessons lie in the failures. The things we find useful in the light, are often discovered in the dark. This frank piece on failure is a great read for those of us who are grappling with an uncomfortable stage in our lives and don’t quite know what to do.
